A national study says Pennsylvania ranks among the worst states in the country for the condition of their bridges.
According to The American Road and Transportation Builders Association, or ARTBA, about 20 percent of bridges across the state are classified as structurally deficient.
Of the over 22,000 bridges in the state, ARTBA says a little over 4,500 are in poor condition.
Pennsylvania came in second among states in the country with the most structurally deficient bridges, trailing only Iowa.
