Girls Basketball Tuesday:
Moniteau clinched its first KSAC-South title with a 68-42 victory over Union. Kristina DeMatteis led the Warriors with 28 points and had 11 rebounds. It is Moniteau’s first league title since 2010.

Boys:
The 6-A first round will begin next Wednesday (February 22nd).
–Butler (14-8) will meet Baldwin (15-7) at North Allegheny high school. Tip-off is 6:30pm. (Hear the game on WBUT 1050am and at wbut.com beginning at 6:20pm.)
–Canon-McMillan (17-5) will face North Allegheny (14-8) at North Hills high school at 8pm.
–Pine-Richland was one of four teams to receive a first round “bye”.
–Mars (14-8) received a first round “bye” in the 5-A class.
–In 4-A: Freeport (15-7) will face South Fayette (12-10) Saturday, February 25th at North Catholic high school. Tip-off is 8pm.
–This Saturday in Class 3-A: Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic (17-5) will meet Burrell (8-14) at North Hills high school at 1:30pm.
