The Pitt Panthers added 24 recruits and picked up a graduate transfer in quarterback Max Browne from USC. Rivals.com ranked the Panthers recruiting class 33rd overall in the nation. Among the top players who chose Pitt where running back A.J. Davis from Lakeland, Florida and safety Paris Ford from Steel Valley.
Penn State was ranked 11th overall in recruiting. Clairton’s Lamont Wade is considered their top recruit among 21 new scholarship players.
The Slippery Rock University football team received letters of intent from 21players Wednesday as part of national signing day.The Rock also picked up three Division-I transfers and two junior college transfers. They include center Ian Park, an Upper St. Clair graduate who started three seasons at Northwestern.They also picked up two-year starter at defensive end Tyler Schneider, a New Jersey native, who is transferring in from Austin Peay and defensive lineman Zach Madden, who is transferring to The Rock after receiving an Ivy League degree from Pennsylvania in May.
