Central Blood Bank is in desperate need of donors through the end of the year and WBUT is helping with that by holding a blood drive today.
The drive runs from noon until 4 p.m. at the Butler Radio Network on Pillow Street in Butler City.
You are able to simply walk in and donate blood. You don’t have to make an appointment.
All donors will receive an ‘ugly sweater’ t-shirt and be entered to win a Dan Marino-signed football and a Steeler’s basket.
Officials at Central Blood say the bank’s local supply of blood, platelets and plasma drops every year at this time because of the holidays; however, the need for these things does not lessen.
