The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the New York Giants 24-14 Sunday at Heinz Field. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns. He has now thrown a touchdown in 43 consecutive home games, the third-longest streak in NFL history. Tight end Ladarius Green caught six passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. Le’Veon Bell rushed for 118 yards on 29 carries. He also caught six passes for 64 yards.
The Steelers defense picked off two Eli Manning passes and sacked him twice. They held Manning to 195 yards passing, and held the Giants to just 56 rushing yards.
The Steelers had to sign kicker Randy Bullock for the game Sunday after an injury this week to Chris Boswell. Bullock hit three field goals in the victory.
The Steelers remain tied for first place in the AFC North with Baltimore, who disposed of Miami 38-6 Sunday.
The Steelers visit Buffalo Sunday at 1pm. Baltimore travels to New England Monday night.
The Steelers game at Cincinnati December 18th has been moved from Sunday night to a 1pm kick-off.
