The Pittsburgh Penguins gave the New York Islanders a 3-0 lead last night in Brooklyn before coming back to tie the game with three goals in the third period, but still lost 5-3. The Islanders would score the game-winning goal with 30 seconds remaining in the game, then picked up an empty-net goal. Conor Sheary, Justin Schultz and Evgeni Malkin scored the third period goals. Sidney Crosby had two assists. Goaltender Matt Murray lost his second game of the season, stopping 25 of 29 shots.
The Pens host the Dallas Stars tonight at 7pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am is 6:30pm. The Pens play 15 games this month, 10 of the games will be at PPG Paints Arena.
