The presenters have been finalized for next week’s second forum on drug addiction in Butler County.
This presentation is open to the public and will be held Thursday, December 8th beginning at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Mars Area High School.
An official with the state Attorney General’s office will give a larger picture of the issue of opioid addiction. Dr. Bryan Negrini will discuss the physiology of addiction. Dr. David Rottinghaus will talk about how the Butler Health System is responding to the crisis. Chief Mark Pfeffer of the Butler County Sheriff’s office will speak about Naloxone and how it can be used to prevent overdose. One or two recovering individuals will also be on hand to give a firsthand account of their experience. The evening will conclude with a question and answer session.
A previous forum was very well attended when it was held at the end of October at the Butler Intermediate School Auditorium.
