The Cranberry Library has received a grant to upgrade technology in their children’s department.
The federal Library Services and Technology Act state grant for nearly $21,000 will be used to upgrade five personal computer stations that are nine years old.
In order to accommodate new child-oriented software, the library is purchasing iPads and touch-screen PCs encased in brightly colored protective cases.
Beginning in the new year, a dozen other iPads with early literacy apps will be used as part of the library’s weekly Storytime program.
