The state has revoked the license of Glade Run Lutheran Services to operate a residential treatment facility for children with autism and other developmental disabilities in Zelienople.
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services issued a notice to the facility on Beaver Street last week stating that their license will not be renewed. The facility does have the ability to appeal.
Glade Run in Zelienople was already operating on a provisional license after several incidents earlier this year, including one where an employee overdosed on heroin in a bathroom. Glade Run also adopted new guidelines after an alleged child-on-child sex abuse incident in 2015.
Glade Run Lutheran Services operates other programs throughout the area.
