A local man sustained minor injuries when a Butler Township telephone pole fell onto his vehicle Tuesday afternoon.
According to Butler Township Police, 74-year-old Ronald Loar of Butler was driving on South Duffy Road near Staley Avenue shortly after noon when the pole fell into his car.
Butler Township Fire District 3 and West Penn Power responded to the scene to address telephone wires and power company guidelines down. Loar suffered a cut to his hand but refused medical treatment or transport.
The road was closed for over an hour while the scene was being cleared.
