A crash involving a garbage truck shut down both north and southbound lanes of Route 8 in Middlesex Township Thursday.
The crash happened about 2 p.m.
The garbage truck knocked down wires and it took some time for crews to clear the scene.
Route 8 was closed between Route 228 (Mars Crider Road) in Middlesex and Glasgow Road in Richland Township (Allegheny County).
It’s unknown if anyone was injured.
