The Pittsburgh Penguins host the Edmonton Oilers tonight at PPG Paints Arena. The Pens have not lost to the Oilers since 2007, but Edmonton is off to a 9-3-1 start this season and lead the NHL Western Conference Pacific Division. The Penguins are 8-2-2 and are two points behind the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference Metropolitan Division. 19-year old Connor McDavid leads the Oilers with 14 points.
Despite missing the first six games of the Penguins season, Sidney Crosby is tied for the NHL lead in goals with eight. Crosby has 10 points, which is tied with Patric Hornqvist and Phil Kessel. Evgeni Malkin leads the Pens with 12 points.
