Does it seem like you can’t escape Pat Toomey or Katie McGinty advertisements this fall?
Well, part of the reason could be that this particular Pennsylvania Senate race will go down as the most expensive United States Senate race ever.
Between both campaigns and outside spending, the total amount spent on the race has totaled nearly $140 million. Some of that money has gone, in part, toward almost 450 total hours of negative television ads.
According to three recent polls released in the past week, the Democrat nominee McGinty leads Republican incumbent Toomey with anywhere from a one point to six point lead.
