A lawmaker in neighboring Allegheny County is pushing for early voting in Pennsylvania.
State Senator Wayne Fontana wants to pass legislation that would give people the flexibility to vote as early as 15 days before an election.
The state Senate Democratic Policy Committee will hold a public hearing on Fontana’s proposal Wednesday in Pittsburgh.
Many states offer early voting and you don’t need an excuse- you can vote early even if you are capable of voting at the polls on Election Day. A handful of states will let you vote early only if you have a valid excuse for not voting on Election Day.
