Gas prices in our area dropped ever so slightly in the past week but are still nearly a quarter above the national average.
According to AAA, the average price per gallon in western Pennsylvania is $2.41, which is down one penny from last week.
The average price in Butler is a bit higher at $2.44.
Nationally, drivers are paying roughly $2.21 for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline.
Experts say refinery issues continue to impact prices in Pennsylvania. AAA says drivers should begin to see some relief in the coming weeks as refinery maintenance wraps up.
