State Police are reminding hunters not to park on the side of highways before heading into the woods.
It is illegal to ‘stop, stand or park a vehicle’ on the side of a limited access highway’ in Pennsylvania and violators could faces fines.
Authorities say this is a problem in Butler, Armstrong Beaver, Lawrence and Mercer counties on Interstates 79, 80 & 376; Routes 28 and 60; parts of Route 422 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Hunters are urged to park lawfully along side roads or seek permission from property owners to park before going hunting.
