The Pitt Panthers host Virginia Tech tonight at Heinz Field. Kick-off is 7pm. The Panthers were idle last week and are 5-2 overall, 2-1 in the ACC. The Hokies are ranked 25th in the nation and are also 5-2, 3-1 in the ACC. They defeated Miami 37-16 last week.The ACC men’s basketball pre-season poll was released Wednesday. Pitt is picked to finish 12th out of 15 teams. The Panthers have four returning starters under the direction of new head coach Kevin Stallings. Duke is picked to win the ACC regular season. North Carolina, Virginia, Louisville and Syracuse round out the top five.
NFL Thursday Night Football: Tennessee (3-4) will host Jacksonville (2-4) at 8:25pm.
