High School Sports Scores from Tuesday:
Girls Volleyball:
Slippery Rock-3 Franklin-2. (25-19, 25-17, 25-13). Carlee McClymonds had nine kills for the Rockets. Morgan Malinski had 19 assists and Amya Altman had 10 digs and three aces.
Union-3 Moniteau-0 (all three games were 25-23).
AC Valley-3 Keystone-0. Josey Terwilliger had 14 kills and eight digs for AC Valley.
Final round PIAA Golf Championships at Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York:
Madie Smithco of Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic finished runner-up in the Double-A class to Olivia Zambruno of Greensburg Central Catholic, who won her third state title. Smithco, a freshman, had the low round of the day with a 77, to finish two strokes behind Zambruno.
In 3-A, Lauren Freyvogel of Pine-Richland finished fourth overall.
Quarterfinal round of the WPIAL Boys Soccer Playoffs tonight:
Quad-A: Seneca Valley (16-0-1) will meet Canon-McMillan (11-7) at Moon high school at 6pm.
Also at Moon high school at 8pm: North Allegheny will meet Peters Township.
Pine-Richland will face Penn-Trafford at Hampton at 8pm.
Triple-A: Mars (14-3-1) will face Moon (13-5) at North Allegheny. Game time is 8pm.
At Mars high school in 1-A: C.W. North Catholic will meet Eden Christian at 6pm.
