The Cleveland Indians defeated the Chicago Cubs 6-0 last night in game one the Major League Baseball World Series. Corey Kluber struck out eight Chicago batters in the first three innings. The Cubs would strike out 15 times in the game. The Indians are attempting to win their first World Series since 1948. The Cubs have not won a World Series since 1908.
Because of expected rain, tonight’s game has been moved up to a 7:08pm start time. Trevor Bauer will start for Cleveland. Jake Arrieta for the Cubs.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced Joey Cora will be their new third base coach in 2017. Cora managed the Double-A Altoona Curve last season. He takes over for Rick Sofield, who was fired over the weekend.
