The Seneca Valley boys, top seed in the Quad-A playoffs, avoided an upset with a 2-1 victory over Kiski. The Raiders had not been scored on in 10 games. Seneca Valley will face Canon McMillan who defeated Plum 1-0 in the first round. The game will be played Wednesday.
Also in Quad-A:
Pine-Richland eliminated Norwin 5-0. The Rams meet Penn Trafford Wednesday.
North Allegheny topped Fox Chapel 1-0. They face Peters Township Wednesday.
In Triple-A: Mars defeated Ringgold 5-1 and will meet Moon Wednesday.
Knoch was eliminated by Chartiers Valley 3-0.
In Double-A: The Freeport Boys Soccer team came to a close Saturday in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs. The Yellow Jackets were upset by Beaver 3-2. Freeport jumped out to a 2-0 lead, only to allow Beaver to score three unanswered goals. Bryce Hanby scored both Freeport goals.
In Single-A: C.W. North Catholic defeated Brentwood 3-0 and meet Edem Christian Wednesday.

High School Football:
Seneca Valley clinched a 6-A playoff spot with a 57-6 victory over Shaler Friday. They join Central Catholic, North Allegheny and Pine-Richland from the Northern Seven Conference.
Mars has also clinched a 4-A playoff berth.
Karns City remained perfect in league-play with a 44-10 win over Moniteau Friday.
Grove City lost their first game of the season, falling to Meadville 48-14.
According to Mike White of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Knoch senior Jordan Geist will attend the University of Arizona. Geist has set WPIAL and PIAA records in the shot put, and is currently the WPIAL and PIAA champion in discus.
