Pennsylvania’s former Attorney General is asking for leniency in sentencing for her perjury conviction.
Kathleen Kane will be sentenced on Monday for leaking grand jury documents and lying about it under oath.
She’s hoping to avoid jail time so she can raise her children and says she has been “humbled and embarrassed” by her conviction.
Prosecutors say the first-term Democrat disgraced the office and should be incarcerated.
Kane faces anything from probation to 12 to 24 years in prison.
