Veterans with visual impairments and blindness will be honored nationally this weekend.
White Cane Day is Saturday, Oct. 15 with a goal of acknowledging the abilities of blind veterans and promoting equal opportunities.
VA Butler Healthcare offers a Visual Impairment Services Team for veterans with vision loss. In addition to rehabilitation, the team also helps with training and a monthly support group.
