Cranberry Township is continuing an annual maintenance operation around the municipality.
Officials say hydrant flushing is designed to expel sediment from the water system and to check the fire hydrants operations.
Residents may see discolored water and fluctuations in water pressure if a hydrant is being flushed at that time so it is advised to avoid doing laundry or using water as much as possible.
Officials also say that if the water does not clear after a reasonable amount of time, call Customer Service.
Areas affected this week include:
- Community Park, Public Works
- A portion of Route 19 (Friendship Lane/Butler Auto Auction to Cochran Chevrolet/Nissan and Butler Auto Auction south to Ron Lewis Used Vehicle Dealership)
- Glen Eden Road (Route 19 to Weigand Drive)
- North Boundary Road to Marshall Road, Marshall Road (south to Goehring Road)
- Grace Church, Goehring Road, Preserve East & West
- North Boundary Road (Marshall Road to Franklin Road)
- North Boundary Apartments, Pinebrook Manor, Marshall Woods, Marshall Heights
