An initiative is underway to help remove invasive trees and shrubs across the state.
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is helping coordinate the event, which will replace invasive trees and shrubs for free.
Property owners can remove the invasive plant and submit a photo of it to the DCNR.
You can then attend an event where you’ll receive a free replacement shrub or tree. The events will be held in May—the nearest locations are in Greensburg and Erie.
