
A Butler man has been charged after it’s alleged he had sexual relationship with a child.
Police have charged 23-year-old Dennis Goodwine II after he allegedly had a sexual relationship that started with a then eight-year-old child starting in 2016 and lasting until the child turn 12-years-old.
According to charging documents, when Goodwine was 15-years-old he would receive sexual acts from the child. When interviewed by police he admitted to the acts but said they were consensual. The victim denied that claim.
The alleged abuse would end when the victim moved away from Butler where the abuse was first reported at a “Hollys House” in Indiana.
Goodwine has been charged with Involuntary deviate Sexual Intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 13, and indecent assault of a person less than 13.
He is now awaiting a preliminary hearing.
