Independence Health System has announced the hiring of a new Chief Development Officer for hospital foundations.
Anthony Cancro will coordinate activities for the Butler Memorial Hospital Foundation as well as other foundations at Clarion, Latrobe, and Westmoreland/Frick Hospitals.
Cancro is a Western Pennsylvania native and has 20 years of experience leading strategic campaigns and fundraising initiatives for nonprofits and higher education institutions.
While all of these foundations operate under the banner of Independence Health, all money raised by individual foundations will stay in each community to support local needs.
