A new bill will keep ticket resellers from listing event tickets before they have them.
State Rep. Rob Matzie is introducing the legislation to stop a practice known as speculative ticketing, which Matzie says puts consumers and local businesses at risk for losing money.
On top of preventing the practice, it also allows consumers and venues to sue for violations.
The bill has the support of Ticketmaster and Live Nation and does not intend to get rid of secondary sellers.
