A New Castle man was injured in a rollover crash on I-79 in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve.
Police were called to I-79 southbound just south of Walker Road for a single vehicle crash on Tuesday just after 4:30 a.m. in Muddy Creek Township.
According to state police, as 48-year-old Michael O’Brien was traveling south he lost control of his vehicle. O’Brien’s vehicle then hit an embankment and rolled over.
When police arrived on scene O’Brien was injured but the severity is unknown and O’Brien denied EMS.
He was cited for driving a vehicle at a safe speed.
