As legislators continue to prepare for the 2025 legislative season a reintroduction of a law has been proposed to protect seniors.
State Senate Republicans Lynda Culver and Doug Mastriano intend to reintroduce a bill that creates a registry of those who abuse seniors.
Along with the legal penalties these registries will help aid care facilities from hiring abusers while also holding facilities for not reporting abuse responsible.
Last session this was senate bill 885 and the two senators intend to reintroduce it for consideration.
