A couple of local municipalities will see upgrades to facilities after being awarded state grants.
According to State Representative Stephanie Scialabba, Cranberry Township is receiving a $1.8 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant to expand the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.
Also, Jackson Township will receive $1 million to assist with costs associated with renovating the Steamfitters Technology Center including demolition, waste removal, cleanup, masonry, framing, woodwork, carpentry, thermal and moisture protection, fire protection, and plumbing.
Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program is a Commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.
