As many families will soon find themselves with more candy than they know what to do with, students at the Mars Area School District are planning to hold a collection this week.
The Mars Area Primary Center, Elementary, Centennial, and Middle Schools will be collecting leftover Halloween candy tomorrow through next Thursday to benefit Harvest Street Mission which provides support for Pittsburgh’s homeless residents.
All candy must be in original wrappers and unopened.
Donations can be dropped off at the schools’ main offices during school hours.
