The Minnesota Wild defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-3 last night at PPG Paints Arena. It was the Penguins sixth loss in a row. Former Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury made 26 saves in the game, earning the victory after allowing the Pens to take an early two-goal lead. Fleury was making his final appearance in an NHL uniform in Pittsburgh.
Rikard Rakell scored twice for the Penguins, and Sidney Crosby broke an early season-slump with three assists in the game. Penguins goaltender Joel Blomqvist stopped 34 of 37 shots from Minnesota. The Pens fell to 3-7-1 this season and host Anaheim Thursday.
