The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed punter Coliss Waitman to replace the injured Cameron Johnston, who was lost for the season with a serious knee injury. Johnston had signed a three-year free agent deal with the Steelers, but suffered the injury in the team’s fourth quarter win over Atlanta when a Falcons player hit his leg during a punt. The 29-year Waitman has spent time with several NFL teams after being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Steelers in 2020. He briefly replaced Pressley Harvin for two games in the 2021 season.
