The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the New York Jets 31-13 Sunday at Heinz Field. Ben Roethlisberger threw four touchdowns and 380 yards. Despite numerous drops, receiver Sammie Coates caught six passes for a career-high 139 yards and two touchdowns. Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell had 154 yards of total offense.
The Steelers improved to 4-1 and have take over sole possession of first place in the AFC North. The Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns all lost Sunday. The Steelers visit Miami this Sunday.
Two more Steelers suffered injuries during the game. Cam Heyward suffered a hamstring injury. Shemarko Thomas left the game with a groin injury.
In Sunday Night Football: Green Bay defeated the New York Giants 23-16.
Tonight in Monday Night Football: Carolina will host Tampa Bay at 8:30pm.
