The Slippery Rock University men’s basketball team will open their 2024-25 season with an exhibition game at Syracuse University October 30th.
The Rock basketball program, under the direction of head coach Ian Grady, is coming off a 16-14 season and advanced to the quarterfinals of the PSAC Tournament. SRU won 14 of their final 21 games to secure their fifth consecutive winning season under Grady.
The Rock will return All-PSAC performer Maceo Austin and two other starters. Syracuse, from the ACC, went 20-12 last season. It will be the 21st Division I opponent The Rock has faced in an exhibition game since 2005.
