Hundreds of Butler County residents are still without power this morning following strong storms yesterday.
As of this morning, there are more than 500 homes without power between First Energy and Central Electric.
The outages are a result of strong storms that started around 11 a.m. yesterday. The first round of storms hit in the Slippery Rock area, bringing heavy rain and wind gusts that hit over 50 miles per hour at times.
The storms then continued throughout the afternoon, knocking down trees and wires all over the county.
The Butler County 911 Center handled more than 70 calls related to storm damage.
That led to a number of outages and road closures throughout the county.
