A large crowd is expected in the Freeport area today for Corey Comperatore’s funeral and fire truck procession.
Comperatore was a member of the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company and previously served as chief. A number of fire trucks will be staging at the Freeport Area High School this morning as part of a procession for his funeral.
A fire truck carrying Comperatore will leave Laube Hall around 8:30 a.m. and meet with trucks at the high school soon after.
The procession is expected to go north on Route 356 to Winfield Road.
A private service will be held at 11 a.m.
Following the service, the procession will pass his home on Sarver Road before returning to Route 356 and heading back to Freeport.
There are local closures and parking restrictions in the Freeport Borough throughout the day.
