Those expecting rebates from the state should expect to see them starting on Monday.
Nearly 442,000 rebates will be sent out this Monday for a total of $266 million for older homeowners, renters, and people with disabilities. This almost double the amount from last year that saw over 280,000 rebates issued for $132 million.
One of the reasons for the large jump has been over 89,000 first-time filers due to a law that expanded eligibility for rebates.
After Monday you can file for a rebate and it will be processed as they are received but the deadline for a 2023 rebate is December 31, 2024.
