The State Police are offering a new resource for those with autism in order to improve their interactions with officers.
The police introduced a new informational card that alerts officers that the individual has autism, making them aware of possible communication hurdles during their interactions.
State police say these cards can be used with any officer, not just the state police.
The cards can be accessed on the state police’s website; it’s a printable card that can be carried in a wallet.
