After racing for corn in Iowa last weekend, the Nascar Cup Series will race for a lobster at New Hampshire Speedway this Sunday. Race coverage begins at 1:30pm on WBUT. Martin Truex, Jr., who announced his retirement at the end of this season recently, is the defending race champion. The winner of the event annually receives a lobster that weighs around two dozen pounds.
NASCAR team owner Gene Haas will remain in the Cup Series and field one car in 2025 in the wake of the decision to shutter the organization he owns with Tony Stewart at the end of the season. Haas will keep one of the four charters that belong to Stewart-Haas Racing and will operate next season as the Haas Factory Team.
