Crews are on the scene of a fire this morning at a church in the Valencia area.
The call came in around 7:15 a.m. for a working fire at the Crossway Community Church on Davis Road—this is near the Ball’s Bend area of Route 228 West.
Crews arrived on scene and said they found flames coming from one side of the building and in the roof.
It was soon upgraded to a third alarm fire, prompting more fire crews to respond to the scene.
After about 20 minutes, firefighters were able to access the attic to help battle the blaze. They were also able to knock down the fire on the side of the building.
