The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-2 last night. Pirates starting pitcher Bailey Falter allowed three runs on eight hits over four innings. It was the second straight start Falter has only gone four innings. Cardinals starter Sonny Gray allowed just one run over his seven innings. He allowed four hits and struck out nine. The Bucs went 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position. Catcher Henry Davis hit his first home run of the year.
The two teams complete their three-game series this afternoon. First pitch is 2:15pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 1:50pm. Mitch Keller will start for the Bucs. Lance Lynn will start for the Cards.
