Lexi Thompson has announced she will retire from full-time competition on the LPGA Tour after this season. The 29-year old Thompson is a 15-time winner on the tour and has one major title. She began her career as a 12-year-old when she qualified for the 2007 U.S. Women’s Open, at the time the youngest player to ever qualify. Thompson also set an LPGA record as the youngest winner when she captured the Navistar Classic at the age of 16. She has also made the cut at a PGA Tour event.
