A group of local JROTC students recently were named champions at a competition in Ohio.
The Pine Richland/Mars JROTC Drill Teams took first place at the East CLC Marin Corps Drill Competition that was held in Ohio.
The group says their mission is to “develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community.”
Students who sign up for JROTC are under no obligation to join the military following high school.
