Congressman Mike Kelly will be holding a town hall with officials from Cleveland Cliffs in Butler to talk about a proposed Department of Energy rule that could put the local plant’s future in jeopardy.
The town hall is set for Monday, April 1st at BC3’s Founder Hall at 6 p.m. Kelly will be joined by members of the Local UAW Chapter that represent workers at the Butler Works plant.
As has been previously reported, a DOE proposal would eliminate the need for grain-oriented electrical steel, which is produced at the Butler Works plant.
The town hall is open to the public with no pre-registration required.
