Moraine State Park is implementing a new “no wake zone” that aims to limit erosion on Lake Arthur’s shores.
The 145-acre zone will be in the northwest corner of the lake, near the McDanels Boat Launch.
Park officials say this area is especially prone to erosion and siltation due to the type of soil.
Boats will still be allowed in the area, but must be operating at slower speeds.
The impacted zone will be marked by buoys and signage.
