A bill that recently passed in the Pennsylvania House would allow employers to get a tax credit if they make contributions to their employees’ tuition savings account.
It would allow employers to contribute up to $500 to an employee’s tuition savings account, which would then allow for a tax credit equal to 25 percent of the employer’s total contributions.
The tuition savings accounts can be used for most expenses at schools or career training program.
The bill passed unanimously and now moves to the state senate.
