The Butler County District Attorney’s office is applying for a grant that would add body cameras for members of the county’s Emergency Services Unit.
The $5,000 matching grant would be through the Small, Rural, and Tribal Body-Worn Camera Program.
District Attorney Rich Goldinger says the body cameras would be worn on the helmets on the Emergency Services Unit when they are responding to incidents.
The total cost for the cameras would be just over $10,000.
