The driver of a military vehicle had to be rescued following a crash on I-79 this weekend.
The accident happened Saturday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. on I-79 near mile marker 86, which is near the Zelienople exit.
Crews from the Harmony Fire District arrived on scene to find a large military vehicle had hit a guiderail. Officials say the driver was trapped by the dashboard.
They were able to pop off the door and push the dashboard off the driver’s legs.
He suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
