A man is facing charges for allegedly switching barcodes at a store located just south of the Butler County line.
Our news partners at WPXI report that police charged Mohamed Nahas after he allegedly stole nearly $3,000 worth of items from the Lowe’s Home Improvement store in the Grandview Crossing.
Police say that Nahas committed the crimes over the span of four months. He would remove the barcode from a cheaper item and then scan it at the self-checkout aisle.
Local police say they’ve seen an uptick in this type of theft.
